Well, Its been a long time since ive driven in the Aurora area but everyone drove like shit and Im fairly sure 80% of the stolen cars in the metro area ended up there. Speed cameras are used in several Metro towns as well as Red-Light camera's (Boulder). These include school and work zones, and streets that border a municipal park. Officers will be in marked police cars that are equipped with Lidar – Light Detection and Ranging – technology. Warning signs will be posted reminding drivers that photo radar is in use. Aurora Police said the department launched the program in response to the rise in crash-related deaths. Since 2019, annual crash deaths have increased by 18% across the U.S. and by 28% in Colorado, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Colorado Department of Transportation."
