Fuck their age. At the minimum toss them in for 6 months with 2 years of probation for a crime like auto theft. Anything involving a weapon. 5 years minimum.
If you keep letting "kids" off for violent crime.. Gangs will just RECRUIT MORE KIDS. Never mind the parents being fucking useless. Put criminals where they belong. Somewhere away from society.
