Downtown Denver (Even by Cap Hill) is basically a open-air drug market. It gets cleared out anytime there is a major political/sporting event or if a news org writes a story about the crime/drugs/homelessness but it always goes right back to how it was once the cameras are gone for a day or two.
It must be nice to pay over 3-5k/mo in rent just to find needles all over the place outside your building or in your stairwell. Not to mention the high chance of getting mugged or stabbed/shot.

Easy to solve this problem; RobertJHarsh has a good idea and I applaud him/her/zer/zim/they/it for the recommendation. But, on the other tentacle, that only takes care of one of (((them))).
My idea is to use a suppressed .22 with subsonic hollow points. Wait until the full entourage of druggies are loaded up and sleeping it off; quickly apply one bullet to each of their winkin-blinkin-nodding heads, preferably at the forehead with direction of bullet downward. Make sure your pistol is equipped with a handy net cartridge casing catcher to eliminate empty brass on the floor (slip and fall hazard, no worker's comp if you do).
Return to apartment, turn up the TV with some most excellent BDSM pR0n, drink a snifter of 50-year old Port and eat the left-over pizza (with pineapple and ham). Use pR)n to relieve pressure of Precious Fluids.
