Yeah, Well. Surprising no one the student is a 17 year old black man with a history of violent behavior (and likely gang connections). He is still on the run too. They just locked down schools over an hour away because they think his cell phone pinged nearby.

"Lyle is described as a Black male who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. Police say he was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt when he was last seen.

Additionally, police believe he is associated with a 2005 red Volvo XC90 with Colorado license plates BSCW10."

Update. A kid was being pat-down to check for weapons. They found a gun and he shot both of them. The people doing the pat down's were Dean's. Not officers (Denver got rid of their School Resource Officers "SROs" a few years ago because racist or something).

The kid also fled the scene and currently (12:00 MST) at large.

He is still on the run. The car "associated" with him has been found over an hour away from Denver and no info on him. Betting hes headed to Mexico.

Note from the article, they apparently think he is a real and true threat.
