Doesn't say how wide. What people don't realize is how the Americans with Disabilities Act affects construction projects. I've seen a project to replace the toilets in a restroom run into the millions because it triggered ADA requirements that required remodeling the entire restroom and the hallways leading to the restroom. It costs a lot of fucking money to move walls in an existing commercial building because it has a domino effect on other things.

$2 million is CHEAP for a path in the mountains that has to meet ADA slope and cross slope requirements. I've seen just a curb cut and apron cost almost half that.

True, most places up here don’t let you use their restroom because retrofitting to meet ADA requirements is too costly, so stores don’t let customers use the bathrooms that were built 75-100 years ago. It’s the biggest complaint of tourists.
