(Inspired by a comment I wrote earlier, thought I would make a post out of it. I think the subject is very important)

There's a common misconception amongst non believers, black-pilled folk and even often those who claim to be Christians.

John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.”

Jesus did it this way so jews would stop buying and selling salvation. Also, the Lord only helps those who help themselves, so the Lord doesnt want you to stagnate and do nothing. But having salvation should push you to want to do stuff. The Lord doesn't respect slothfulness. The change you feel within yourself after accepting the Lord into your heart will create a change that will make you want to perform actions. You cannot get to heaven by imitating the actions of a Godly man. You cannot trick God into letting you into heaven.

In fact, if you claim to walk with Christ and live in sin, you will be punished harder than a non-believer. Your life will be more difficult compared to those around you, but it's not your place to compare. Study shows comparing yourself to others leads to building an unhealthy ego, but God already knew that when he offered that advice in the Bible. Don't confuse God as a guy who wants you to do nothing. If you're the kind of asshole that goes around actually teaching others this verse...

John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:8-10)

...means God rewards people who do nothing with salvation, you are basically speaking blasphemy. Willful misunderstanding or not, communicating a misinterpretation of this very important Bible verse will probably result in the wrath of God, in my opinion, especially if your goal by misinterpreting this verse is to turn people off from Jesus's teachings.

Thanks for reading my Ted Talk.

(The edit was adding the following text:) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Jesus's grievance with the Pharisees is outlined in Matthew 23. I recommend everyone read the entire chapter.
