that would be effective in accomplishing the goal, but you can also accomplish the goal by laying upside down on you your bed if your bed is tall enough.

imagine you're laying with your back against the bed like normal, then you inch yourself across the bed until your head and lungs are below your legs and youre looking at the world upside down at a 90 degrees, like a kid trying to see the world upside down. Your mouth just needs to be below your lungs, then you exhale as much as you can, probably stay like that meditating until all the gases pass
Wouldn't you need to be face down for easy drainage and so that the flow doesn't stop in your throat when you are face up?
