As a kid playing doom and heretic in the dark scaring myself shitless, as a shithead playing doom stoned listening to trance music cause it went well with the gun wobble.

Not really, my brothers and I did our chores and pooled our allowances. We mostly went with the shareware demos cause they were pretty cheap. Only got a few full games.
