Old school PC Quake or Doom
Definitely arcanum, Mario party/kart. Or og Nintendo Mario
I loved all the mario games as a kid, mostly the ones like party/kart/shamshbros since i think the thing i liked most about games was playing with friends and family.
SOCOM where it all started.
AV in WoW had some epic battles as well.
I played some WoW! When it rereleased, my fiance and I watched WoW streamers while we tried to log in. We had no kids or responsibilities at the time so we were able to play constantly, stopping only to sleep. I cant remember at the moment what our /played was.
I remember when i was in highschool visiting my dad, Wrath of the Litchking was out and I got my first chance to play WoW. It was so much fun I ended up sleeping under the desk when I got too tired to continue playing. Which is hilarious, because I was not at all good at the game
Battlefield 2 with the boys. The massive combined arms matches with good squad leaders and a competent commander... Chef's kiss.
When you finally return the water chip at the end of Fallout. Truly was not expecting that.
That sounds like a lot of fun! I didn't spend much time in battlefield but I did play some COD with my first boyfriend. Really sucked I hated zombies so much. Something about shooting nazi zombies didn't sit well with me
First age of empires was pretty cool.
lol, I remember my bro got it for his birthday, and he had to download the game from a series of three floppy disks.
as a little girl i had no idea what to do. it was really hard to figure out. I made alot of maps though for whatever reason. I had so much fun when i learned some cheatcodes! I missed the point of the game anyways, and I only played against NPC so cheese away! Now I play HaloWars2 as my go to RTS
First time playing quake online multiplayer. Shit 200 ping, didnt know about +mlook, but it was glorious. Kinda miss Mplayer anyone remember that?
edit: just to add, going from 320x400 software render to 1040x800 with a 3d card was quite the experience. Voodoo cards back in the day.
oh gross ping, i had a problem like that with bannerlord 2 since they were still in beta when i was playing.
dont know about voodoo cards!
not sure about mplayer, but i used to download mp3's music to my Ipod shuffle kekw
180-200 was standard ping back in the day unless you were at a university or somewhere with a real network. This was like 1997 mostly everyone was still on dialup.
The first Halo. 4 TVs in different rooms, 4 consoles, 16 players, all connected together with long ethernet cables to a router.
Oh man, I wish I knew you when we were kids, that would have been extremely badass
Capture the flag was the game. We were all great at the game, so matches could go for 6 hours or more, we'd have to yell out "time to piss" so we could all take a break.
Favorite seems to be actually tied to a time frame and location more than the games. I grew up in a few different towns. The time frame that was the best is the one I find myself wanting to go back and play games from.
Dial up Doom deathmatches
Playing infogrames. Text based games in the early '80's. Have to say after that playing Doom 2 for hours on end then the legendary FF VII.
text based, so like, "you take ten steps. In front of you, you see X, to your left Y, and to your right Z" ????
Doom was slightly before my time, but i did see people play it alot, looks like it was really fun for the time! Instant classic
Commander keen, dark sun, kings quest, balor of the evil eye, scorched earth… so many fond childhood memories. Those discs with like 30 shareware games on them. As a kid playing doom and heretic in the dark scaring myself shitless, as a shithead playing doom stoned listening to trance music cause it went well with the gun wobble.
sounds like a badass experience, i didnt get to play any of those games, your family must have loaded you up on holidays!
Not really, my brothers and I did our chores and pooled our allowances. We mostly went with the shareware demos cause they were pretty cheap. Only got a few full games.
