(((The family)))

Never work somewhere that they consider the company "like family". That is coded wording to say "we will abuse you and not pay you but sometimes you get pizza on Friday after everyone had to work a 40 hour shift because the boss has no idea what the fuck they are doing".

Any boss that "rewards" you to "snitch" is the snitch and will also fire you too. Also, what the fuck. That is not a healthy environment, GTFO.

I worked at a hospital group and their most important ethos was "Family is important..." the unofficial ethos after that was "We're your family."

Took me 3 weeks to get my last check from them as they treated me like a traitor for leaving.

"How could you do this to us". "This is personal".

No, Its business and you are bad at it. Bye.

I've found that employers who use jock metaphors such as "team" or "take the ball and run with it" are the same way.

"I don't need an explanation, I need a solution".

>I need a solution

If you choose to VOLUNTARILY subject yourself to the standard alpha-beta social hierarchy paradigm (and you don't like it), you're fucked.

1) You can start your own business, and eventually your own business "family", with your own vision of what that entails.

2) Or, go Outlaw (not necessarily criminal) - just stay low profile enough that you don't attract the wrong kind of attention, avoiding of course any sort of infraction which would be considered Malum in se, while choosing to ignore, as needed, anything falling under heading of Malum prohibitum.

As the old saying goes, If you accept what they're giving you, you deserve what you get.
