NZ fire authorities blatantly lie about the cause of fire that destroys two houses. Say it started at the rear of the house... but, there's video evidence of the EV and garage engulfed in fire before the rest of the house is ablaze.

The coming misinformation laws will be used to quash stories like this and punish people who report EV fires (especially of the reports are accurate).

And then in this instance, the car wasn’t plugged in and wasn’t inside the garage or the structure.

it isn’t common for fires to be started by electric vehicles in New Zealand.

Because EVs only ever catch fire when they're charging. They're safe and effective. Trust the science.

I'm noticing again: isn't common?

They'll spend the next few days trying to come up with a non EV explanation for the fire.
