I feel like this is too stupid to be real, that's not even a way to refill any kind of car

They wanted to put air in their tire, but they mistook the propane dispenser as an air compressor. As it wasn't an air pump, they encountered the trouble of the nozzle on the hose not fitting onto their valve stem.

She didn't speak English well and first stated they were trying to put gas in the car, but semi-corrected to state they're trying to put gas in the tire.

I saw this posted on here a long time ago. In a comment on that post, someone mentioned something about them being foreign and that the AmeriGAS company name on the pump was likely what misled them into thinking it was an air pump.

The comment stated that compressed air is often referred to as "gas" in other countries, while in America it is often short-form for "gasoline" (referred to as "petrol" or a variation of that outside America) and for "propane gas".

Due to them being foreign, they were trying to put "gas" in the tire and tried using the dispenser that said "GAS" on it, which seemed to make sense to them as "gas" means "air" to them.

That clarified all of it, thanks mate

You're welcome. I don't know how accurate that is, just noting what someone else said might've been the cause for the confusion. A person on this video also states that this seems to be in California (maybe they can tell by the license plate). If so, they could just be complete morons, which seems very likely as even if they misunderstood "GAS" on the dispenser, they still ignored the huge tank right behind it that says "flammable" in big, red letters.

As a side note, this recent upload of this video has it titled as being a Tesla, but I don't believe that is a Tesla logo on the trunk. The Tesla emblem is a straight and centered spike that gets much wider at the top, while the one on the trunk in the video looks more like a narrow and italic/slanted capital T. I just looked at hundreds of car manufacturer emblems and logos though and I couldn't see any that looked like this stylized 'T' on the trunk in the video.

It has also been quite a while since the original video was being posted around and that video had a different title that did not mention Tesla. I think this person who just re-uploaded this video a couple weeks ago may have intentionally added "Tesla" to the title to increase views since it shows people being stupid, and people like seeing examples of Tesla owners being stupid, which there are many. Even if it isn't a Tesla, it is believable that it is a Tesla due to the nature of the video.

I don't even know what would have happened but I bet it would have been really bad.
