Exactly. The thing seems like a script from a movie meant to distract people's attention from what's really going on.

Well, moon landing deniers say the Apollo 13 ordeal was totally scripted, and it was certainly high drama, it is also posited that something like that was needed because people were getting bored with the moon landings and they were interrupting I Love Lucy reruns. Who knows, it does sound scripted, yeah.
