At this point anyone talking about misinformation is a joke. Do people who are trying to get at truth even use that word much? I think they generally say lies and people love "gas lighting" now. Gas lighting isn't being used properly, but idiots have adopted it and made it just another word for lying. Gas lighting is supposed to refer to a type of manipulation where two people witness/experience something, and the manipulator just rewrites the story and invents an alternate experience that didn't really happen. The person being manipulated is in that state of mind where they just go along with it without fighting back and saying it didn't happen.
