You're not supposed to leave the drivers seat empty in case something like this happens. Stupid fuckers.
It's illegal in some countries, obviously with a good reason. There is no way I would ever trust a self driving car.
The only thing futuristic that is even more insane is this bizarre concept that we are even remotely close to living on Mars. Imagine being on that 8 month flight and people started getting cabin fever. It would be chaotic. Then landing there, nothing is built, no oxygen, and an atmosphere of mostly carbon dioxide which is unbreathable as well.
Temperatures on Mars average about -81 degrees F. However, temperatures range from around -220 degrees F. in the wintertime at the poles, to +70 degrees F. over the lower latitudes in the summer.
I think it's completely impossible. One power error and everyone would be dead.
Only when we develop the technology that would enable us to terraform mars can we even begin thinking about colonizing it. These people are living in a dream world.
I don't get why the guy in shotgun didn't just hop into the driver's seat, or at least unlock the doors and run over to it or put the window down and let the officer in do it.
Waiting for the government to do it for him.
