I grew up in a 99% white high trust nice small town, like the vestige of classic small town America before it too collapsed into decline, and people would be like this with a friend’s garage based on a mutual understanding, but even then we didn’t walk into anyone’s house when they weren’t there. It’s their fucking house! Sometimes maybe we’d hang out in our friend’s driveway to wait for them. But nobody just enters other peoples’ houses in most places.

I used to walk into my best friends house without knocking when I was younger. If I attempted to knock his parents would get upset and offended because I was family. I guess it depends on where you grow up.
