Doesnt the word for hell in the bible , come from the hebrew 'sheol' ?? (translated into greek as hades) Which correctly translated is simply 'the place where the dead body lies/ ie grave'. And when it talks of being 'tormented in hell forever' it refers to the practice in jeruselum at the time of 'tormentors' that were individuals tasked with keeping charge over 'jail cells' (tormentors aka wardens) . A metaphor of 'your body will be locked up in the place of the dead forever'.

IMO One doesnt require a soul to be in 'hell' only a body , lol.
