In their defense, they've made it pretty clear they see babies as a clump of cells that can be murdered for their convenience. They also believe they have the right to volunteer a person of any age for medical experiments. I don't even think liberals are against slavery. They seem to be fine with gardeners and cooks forced to work for below minimum wage under threat of deportation.
