If I took this out of context I'd agree with it. This is one reason why cancer can exist, because the mechanisms in the body that allow for pregnancy also give cancer a way to avoid the body's defense mechanisms. I'd have assumed this talk was about cancer treatment, and about how current treatment methods also affect pregnancy. Edit: Looks like this *was* a lecture about cancer and not about pregnancy.
