I absolutely love being muscular and lean.
For a time period, I got out of shape and stopped working out (bad relationship...not an excuse, but it happened). I saw how people treated me differently.
We are still animals with instincts. You see a fit, muscular man at work, you defer and respect him more, even subconsciously.
It's not that being muscular is everything, it's just that being small and weak really sucks.
Edit - Don't forget, guns are the equalizer. A tiny Asian woman can kill me in less than a second, making all these muscles useless.
Agreed! 6’4” 205lbs here and about 14% bf in my late 30’s.
