Screenshots are from the US Embassy twitter account where there were posts for "BlackHistoryMonth", and the US Embassy claimed that "Afroamericans" fought in the 1821 Revolution against Ottomans. They even included a photo to support their claims. The photo was found to be taken from another, irrelevant archive. US Embassy also says that the person in the photo died in 1829.

In case anyone is wondering, africans fought alongside Ottomans and were known as "Ibrahim's niggers".
