In our city we don't pay any rent, because someone else is using our free space whenever we do not need it.

You do not pay rent. You get 7 hours in your sleeping pod. Then it is sanitised and prepared for the next user. If you fail to meet your work quota, your digital ID will not be able to unlock any sleeping pods until you have made up your hours plus any penalties you have incurred.

Sometimes I use my bike when I go to see some of my friends.

>My biggest concern is all the people who do not live in our city. Those we lost on the way. Those who decided that it became too much, all this technology. Those who felt obsolete and useless when robots and AI took over big parts of our jobs.

WHAT makes these idjuts think that robots and AI would have any use for them as well?

I believe AI will never actually be possible. Actual artificial sentient beings cannot exist. Man can mimic them as much as they like. They will never be aware. Man can make insane supercomputers that can beat people at chess and Jeopardy, but that computer will never be alive. We're no closer to understanding awareness and consciousness than we are to knowing what we don't know.

They will never be aware.

Considering what we're going through now...

This reads like bad sci-fi. The same kinds of predictions about "the distant future in the year 2000" from old movies were a lot more accurate than this shit, and were usually feasible at the very least. The everything as a service concept breaks down completely when you think about it seriously for more than a minute.

What kind of retarded fantasy world is that?
