The shows have drawn challenges for reasons such as on-stage nudity (“Hair,”), perceived blasphemy (“Jesus Christ Superstar”), and their portrayals of queer characters (“Rent,” “Cabaret,” “Avenue Q”).

The school is not letting them do it because based doners don't want to promote degeneracy.

You missed a couple crucial lines at the start of the paragraph

Fox began working on her senior recital in February of last year. The program includes selections from musicals with a history of content challenges.

How are those lines crucial? I quoted the content challenges and they were nudity, blasphemy, and faggotry.

Or are you just saying that would help my summary be more clear for someone who didn't click the link? If that's the case then I see your point.

yes - the first two lines round out the context for somebody who didn't read it. Otherwise, it just looks like a list of other censored musicals, while missing that this retard is trying to incorporate all of them into hers....

Sounds like a Florida University that is banned from promoting the gay speech. I thought that just reading the headline or some place they already did that. The nudity part shows it might have been seen by minors so the parents are losing their shit it seems to myself.

I think sometimes the sexually loose staff at colleges has or is pushing out the conservative ones and are not teaching but having orgies with a lot of gay shit going on and it's being paid for partly by taxes. So go to college get drunk and fuck your brains out and we'll film all the debauchery for later use or not. Yeah it's like a shell game and the ones paying for it are the places that get substandard personnel and everyone.

There is a delicate balance between promoting academic freedom and entering into territory that alienates and offends other members of the community.

Actually no. You either have academic freedom or you don't. University is about ideas and learning. Sometimes people get offended. Although, students do learn they aren't free to learn and explore all ideas.
