Because we all know smart guys are scrawny and wear glasses...right? I'm sorry...I'm broad shouldered, muscular and handsome with no glasses...guess I'm a caveman! No amount of logical evidence to the contrary will ever get you past the impermeable barrier that is the modern, female hivemind of an HR department.
