I am just as far down the rabbit hole on this stuff as anyone, and I think they will do planes/trains but not cars. Doing this with cars will lead to too many bad photo ops of families in minivans on vacation being pulled over and hassled. At the airport, it's out of the public eye and can be treated as a "TSA security matter." Easier to hide. The authorities here have been careful to hide the most egregious government overreach from the view of the normies and Boomers. They are hiding what is happening down under, for example.
