Repeat after me: munchausen syndrome by proxy

Age old story of mentally ill mothers damaging their children to fill the empty void that is their life. They live off of the empathy and care that others shower on them for being a 'brave mother' for having a 'special' child.

It takes a special kind of sick to do this to a little kid.
