Maybe there is an exception for this name, the Germans may have used it, but it's mostly jewish now. Same thing with "Miller", etc.
I've also noticed that names like "Williams", "Phillips", "Stevens", "Davids", Jacobs", take a first name and put an s in front of it, it's jewish 99% of the time.
Even though it was (((Hollywood))), it was a fairly entertaining show where all the characters were very White middle class in a 1960's White suburb.
