I have a family member who was a 15 year veteran in a red state in the south. Said the attitude towards cops has changed and everyone is now a belligerent asshole. Now the top brass basically doesn’t have anyone’s back. So he quit this year. That job was his life. He was a great cop. No more.
Another guy at my church is a cop. He’s also thinking about hanging it up for much the same reason.
I think this is a problem that is gonna get worse for a couple years and then when crime spikes, people are gonna push back and demand policing again. Unfortunately, it’s going to get worse before it gets better. Move out of the city if you can, carry a gun, and remember that NO ONE is coming to help you. Most importantly, around blacks, never relax.

since the UN demanded that nations follow their guidelines on youth crime, there has been calls in so many nations around the world to police and charge youth crime better, because it has resulted in so many problems. guess what? they don't care what the people think. they're not changing it back. so if you think people calling for more policing will result in more policing, you're wrong, unless it's a federal force, which is an essential communist tactic.
The UN doesn’t control the US. Local politics still has a chance though federal bullshit has moved on. If you think that the people of Joplin, MO or Omaha, NE or Gary, IN aren’t going to throw their sherif and mayors the fuck out on their ass over crime rates skyrocketing and policing going to shit, you’re wrong. Maybe San Francisco, Portland, and New York can keep on this way but the rest of the country won’t endure this long term.
