I dread attempting to read any technical manuals in the future, especially if there are very specific, detailed parts on something complicated. You need language to be correct and exact for a reason.
You can't expect people that never invented the wheel to understand this though.
Reading academic papers is a painful experience. There is a certain palaver that is mandatory in academic circles, even though it makes those papers more difficult to understand. The legal profession has the same problem.
Ah, I should have been more specific. Jargon specific to a particular field of study or work is fine by me (though laws and definitely academia in general are plagued by being overly worded for no reason - I may get a headache but I can usually muddle through) and serves more than one purpose. I was referring to technical manuals for electronics and the like; you often need specific details or instructions. I can see where a dumbing down of the language could affect a large number of things, though.

For those who genuinely don't know why you should use correct grammar -- grammar exists to make the meaning of spoken and written language clear and precise. Correct grammar is clarity in language. That's all it is; that's the only reason it exists. Clarity. Precision. It reduces confusion, misunderstanding, and uncertainty in language. The better your grammar, the more accurately you can convey your thoughts using language.
This is extremely valuable when doing things like working together to advance technology and society.
Grammar changes over time. The issue here is the rapid departure of the basic structure and usages of language based in low IQ and lazy speakers.

A 'professor' once was a 40 year expert filled with knowledge in a field that few have mastered. Liberal PC 'professors' are affirmative action flunkies passed with a 2.4 GPA and hired for 'diversity' and politics.
