That's true only for lithium based batteries. The entire industry is working to significantly move away from lithium batteries, if not completely.

Turns out OP disagrees with all technology which uses copper or aluminum too.

They are forcing us into EVs as a form of control. They simply won't do these thing if it didn't give them the upper hand. It would be dumb to kill gasoline and only rely on EVs and vice versa.

I'd rather be in a turbo diesel that OP has vs a quiet EV. I used to be into EVs until I drove one, now I like gas and diesel more than ever.

EV has nothing to do with control. Technically it means much more freedom. An EV can be charged indefinitely off grid. Which isn't true for gas cars. A possibility with biodisel. But you'd still need a large oil supply. Possible but harder.

The control part is the self driving, monitoring, and automation. This is pushing into every vehicle segment, gas, diesel, and EV.

Buy a new car today and it reports some 5,000,000-11,000,000 samples per day to the manufacturer. Did you know that? Services like on star are commonly used to monitor private conversations in cars. The capability is there and commonly used by "agencies."

Electric vehicles are not the issue. Current battery technology and the technocrats are the issue.

As for performance, EV is generally superior to gas.

There are too many used cars which are non-SD and they are all petroleum based.

Every EV going forward will have some sort of self driving tech with it. In order for the masses to stop driving non-SD vehicles, they need to kill the gasoline infrastructure.

This is why they are pushing EVs in this era and not in the 80s and 90s.

Also gasoline and diesel are artificially pricey due to taxes and intentional supply constrain. We could easily have cheap transportation, and many people who have little money could purchase a used vehicle and pay little for gas.

They wouldn't be shoving EVs down our throats if it didn't serve them an advantage.
