Are you against America having 100% Energy Independence?
If you want energy independence, you are in favor of lithium batteries in your house and your car and solar panels on your roof. Because, otherwise, you are dependent on an oil logistics supply chain which is outside your control.
Energy Independence = Producing the energy on your own property using infrastructure you own.
The US can produce all the oil it needs. It cannot mine all the battery materials it needs.
