Several were in Puerto Rico where violent crime is much higher than the US, and several others weren't assaulted or killed because they were trans. One, for example, was killed by "her" spouse because "she" was caught cheating on him.
Given their propensity for high risk behavior as well as generally being pretty insufferable to be around, I wouldn't be surprised if their murder rate was actually higher than the general population. I once did the math for a normie like this but focused on women only. I think it showed women were six times more likely to be murdered than trans.
