I just disabled all view history data related settings on google (yes i know they still track me) and now all the 'front page' of youtube ever shows me is my own subscriptions and only autoplays other videos from the creator I was already watching. I have a few of the pointless elements in the sidebar blocked too. But I will check out that link, thanks
