super extremely hot day
Japanese "super happy joyful great joy" translations always remind me of the menu I designed for a game on the Commodore64 in Basic when I was 13 that was inspired by Mortal Kombat.
The game involved 15 different characters I fully designed that came from different time periods where you selected up to 4 characters and you cycled to the next one when one died as you made your way around the Clock Face before fighting the bosses.
The bosses you ended up fighting were Hour, Minute, Second and Time Itself, each with different time-altering abilities.
It was based on the konami code style secret code where hitting certain keys/buttons would result in unlocking a Cheat Menu. If you then did a different code while viewing the Cheat Menu (ABRACADABRA), you got the Super Cheat Menu with more cheats. If you then did a different code while viewing the Super Cheat Menu (ARBADACARBA), you got the Mega Cheat Menu with more cheats. If you then did a different code while viewing the Mega Cheat Menu (DULRACDULRAC), you got the Super Mega Cheat Menu with more cheats.
I intended to also do a Super Mega Ultra Cheat Menu (CLADURALLADRALC).
I just dug out all of my old paperwork, drawings, designs and printouts of that game and the dozen other games I put hundreds of hours into designing and working on when I was 10-14. Haven't looked at that stuff in maybe 25 years. Now I'm a bit sad.
