From the (German) news item:

As other studies have already shown: at a concentration of 350 and above ppm, a kind of saturation effect apparently sets in. Further increases in CO2 up to 400 ppm show no additional warming effect. In the words of the scientists, “the effects of carbon dioxide concentration are negligible compared to spatial and temporal temperature variations near the ground.” These results suggest that the IPCC overestimates the warming effect of CO2 by at least a factor of 10. You could also say that while the IPCC sees an elephant, the Taiwanese engineers have found a mouse.

The study is another milestone in the debunking of CO2 propaganda: it shows once again that the trillion-dollar fight against CO2 is not only an economic aberration, but also a gigantic misinvestment in the wrong direction. Perhaps we should worry less about a few ppm of CO2 and talk about real environmental problems instead.

Highlights

• Ground surface temperature affected by concentration of carbon dioxide is negligibly small. • Air temperature near the ground is dominated by absorption or dissipation of diffuse radiation and heat conduction rather than that of solar irradiation. • Diffuse radiation is smaller than solar irradiation but greater than heat conduction in air. • Diffuse radiation fortunately plays a damping effect on time-dependent temperature near ground surface. • Dominant absorption bands of carbon dioxide are that centered at 15 μm and 4.3 μm.
