The problem of sudden temperature spikes in either direction is no one actually understands why. So we may think we're good now with sudden temperature drops. The problem being that at some point, there will be a sudden temperature rise. Then chicken little will start screaming global warming again.

Exactly. The model is so complex with so many variables, it’s impossible to nail down a root cause…most plausibly because there isn’t one. Maybe a sun flare. Maybe a magnetic core fluctuation. Maybe an atmospheric pressure imbalance. Maybe all of them at the same time. Or maybe a cyclical domino effect with one causing ripples in another.

Yea, but since few understand the climate, it's quick and easy to blame people for it.
