Barely 15 years after the government started banning incandescent light bulbs in favor of compact fluorescent bulbs – to save the planet - CFL bulbs are now being banned because they are toxic and damaging to the environment.

Huh. Who knew.

Also, who could have ever predicted that the environmental activists promoting those little mercury bombs might someday reverse course?

My wife is all in for chickens. We're planning a move soon and hopefully will start such endeavors after.

Right now we get almost all of our eggs, meats, and vegetables from local farmers and farm co-ops. The wife and I are talking about picking one place to settle in, selling the properties we own, and building something custom and self-sustaining. We'll see how that works out, eventually.
