Coal is the once and future king. When Russia turned off the natural gas pipeline, I wrote that that Germany needed to move back to coal to save itself from a freezing winter. I wrote the same thing about Great Britain.

There is nothing wrong with coal as an energy source. Burning coal produces dust particles and carbon-dioxide. The dust is caught in stack scrubbers, and the CO2 is beneficial to plant life. Burning coal responsibly actually benefits the environment.

and sometimes sourced locally making the process cleaner.

the reality is that in winter europeans get one sixth of sun than in the summer so .... when you need it the most you get very little

Ah, you say, WIND ..... like those lovely snowing nights where the snow is falling quietly ?!

lovely to see, but NO wind

Ah, you say, we will put generators on the shores

yeah, sure, and while we are at it, let's also fake the reliability and profitability of them

the reality is that we cannot manage the variable production of wind and solar

not to mention that the idiot that wants cars to be electric has NOT done the math on how much MORE of it is needed

and finally, yes, llet's put ALL our eggs on the same basket, so, when something goes wrong not only there is no light but ALSO no transportation
