hate me for saying this but they did climate science graft very skillfully over time. with the medical malpractice and speed they did covid19 it blew the lid on being able to fudge data as much as you want, scrutiny is the last thing not-vaccines and climate science needs

The reading are often taken at airports. You know what absorbs a metric gigaton of heat? Asphalt / concrete of any variety.

Using airports for collecting at-ground temperature readings is asinine. Therefore, it is most common. It also helps to feed the ZOMG WARMING narrative.

Especially as there is more development in the vicinity of airports as urban sprawl runs up against its terminal boundaries, they are being surrounded by asphalt and half million dollar condos where previously no one wanted to be that close to an airport.
