That the records only go back to around 1880 means even is the last few years have been the hottest “ever” it still doesn’t mean very much. 140 years in terms of climate fluctuations is insignificant. England was a leading winemaker in the Middle Ages which would suggest it was a lot warmer in Northern Europe back then than it is now, but records or it didn’t happen.
