Wait when was that? I wasn’t aware there was a time like that so they must have been modest about it too.
60's ... she was in a sitcom called 'That Girl'.
Came here to say, “I LOVED That Girl!” I wanted to be her lol. Also, wanted to be Samantha from Bewitched and Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie. (Elizabeth McGomery and Barbara Eden, respectively, for you young Bears).
Those were the good old days with many, many classy women even in the sitcoms. Sad how things have deteriorated so. But you can never go home again, I suppose, and like all things, we had our not so savory things, too.
Edit: she just came to mind because she was doing Christmas time commercials for St Jude's Children's Hospital, which her daddy founded.
I wish I had been alive in the 50s and 60s Sounds like it was nice.
Edit: also no cellphones or email. Wow what a time to be alive when you went home work was actually over.
I know, that's why I'm so anti-cell phone ... such things destroyed life as we knew it. It wasn't a perfect time, none are, but it beats the hell outta life today. Back then there were boundaries people just didn't cross, work was work and free time was free time.
