You’re right - that whole scene ... my parents were generally irresponsible, and not only let us watch R-rated movies when I was a kindergartener, but had *neighborhood kids* over to watch them, too - and I felt the same awkward pressure to leave the room when my parents were there, as during sex scenes ... Because I *knew* my parents were watching me watch that scene.
