I'm in total agreement on the slutty/classy statement, but the liquid and gas thing... Go read up on supercritical fluids. Watch some videos on it. The lines between liquid and gas can get very ambiguous at the right temperatures and pressures. You can even get to a special place called the 'triple point' where solid, liquid and gas are all acting weird and shifting back and forth in those states of matter. Physics can be fascinating when you get the proper conditions going.
