Mine is Isaiah 40:28-31

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Matthew 21:12-13 King James Version (KJV)

12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves

YES that one is good too!

I can only imagine the Urban Bible version of that verse.

Jesus was cool.

Joshua 1:9

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Acts 7: 43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

The brutal honesty and truth of this gets me. It's not really my favorite but I tend to read it over and over.

What has you mull it over so much?

It seems to be tied to some of the esoteric worship today such as saturn worshipping and what not. It seems much hasn't changed in 2000 years. It's strange to think that saturn has a hexagon and remphan has something to do with saturn worshipping, and a few people have take taken this star up as worship.

I find being brutally honest can be difficult so this phrase speaks volumes. Outing them for what they are. Sometimes I have the strength to do it and sometimes not.

"Remphan' is the Coptic name for Saturn"

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

James 1:12

If you haven't read the Epistle of James it's well worth a read. It's only 5 chapters but has some beautiful wisdom in there.

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
