One of the points being made in the video is that it is not possible to “keep” the feasts as they were commanded, without a Temple and Levites to run it. I’m guessing that you ‘memorialise’ the feasts and keep traditionally observed fasts as well as those commanded. This is roughly speaking what I do too.
Yes, and it's a point made in ignorance. Every church is a temple and our priests are of the order of Melchizedech. If that doesn't give them authority, then no one has authority. Not even the Levites.
I believe that when we are born again in Christ that we become stones in the temple.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Corinthians 3 KJV
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Ephesians 2 KJV
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. Hebrews 3 KJV
I believe that we the believers are the priesthood.
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5 KJV
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Peter 2:9 KJV
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1 KJV
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Revelation 5 KJV
You know, I can show these verses to other protestants and they'd all give me different interpretations based on their own biases. The issue is that without holy tradition anyone can interpret the Bible anyway they want. Hence the bazillion and two protestant denominations.
