If she’s been resting in peace, assleep in the grave for two thousand years, the the one you’re praying with is not her.
Jesus talks as if Abraham is alive in Luke 16:19-31.
John 8:49-58. "Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death".
Matthew 22:31-32: But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.
Therefore, If Lazurus can embrace Abraham, then neither have experienced true death. And since God has given us the Holy Spirit to dwell within all of us, then yes, and can ask Abraham or Mary to give an intercessionary prayer to God.
Mary holds an amazing amount of power and Holiness within the Catholic Church. We rely heavily on the saints for intercession. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Some might think it's a cute parlor trick, kind of like put the coin on the saints statue for good luck. But you don't have to pay for prayer. I give to my faith because it helps keep the lights on. It gives people hope with having a place to go and to congregate.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4 KJV
Yes, thank you friend. Jesus is indeed the gate. Mary shows a way, like all Saints do, to take the Cross and follow Him.
Except Mary accended it into heaven.
Not according to scripture.
I'm not going to go in gotcha circles with you. Let's both bask in the Glory of God and leave all the rest. Take care.
