The church is filled the pedophiles and satanists, we all know that. But it still doesn't mean you can't be Catholic. I only go to church for my mother's memorial masses other than that I won't set foot in the den of thieves.
I like shrines though. I have a nice simple shrine to Mary in my hometown that I go to. I find it very peaceful.
shrine: A place of religious devotion or commemoration, such as: A place where devotion is paid to a deity or deities, as in Shinto. The tomb of a saint or other venerated person.
It’s nice to go somewhere secluded and peaceful to be with the Most High, but to seek peace with, or worship or pray to any other is, I believe, folly.
… Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 KJV
Well it's a choice to not believe that Mary plays an important part with faith and intercession.
Would be strange if our loving saviour forgot to mention such a strange and contradictory path to salvation.
Are you trusting in your works for salvation?
Only God can judge my faith in him.
If you believe you have to lead a good life to be saved, or that you could commit a mortal sin and then lose your salvation, or that you have to turn away from sin to be saved, or keep the commandments, or pray to a Eucharist to be saved, then you are trusting in your own works to be righteous and not in the Gospel.
Matthew 7:22-23 KJV
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them: I never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity.
