Fraid it is a bit of a case of ‘tardation.
The post is of the Torah portion, not the talmud, and consists of weekly readings of scripture.
The Torah is the original name of the first 5 books of the Bible.
Originally these readings were designed for a congregation to read through the whole of the Torah in a year by reading a ‘portion’ at a time.
These readings were expanded to include books from other parts of the Bible; firstly portions from the writings of the Prophets, this is called the Haftorah, and finally to include the gospels, known as the Besorah.
The talmud is a library of writings about many many things including discussions about scripture.
Entirely possible. Isn't the talmud just jewish scholars arguing tho?
It seems so:
The Talmud
(/ˈtɑːlmʊd, -məd, ˈtæl-/; Hebrew: תַּלְמוּד, romanized: Talmūḏ, lit. 'teaching') is the central text of Rabbinic Judaism and the primary source of Jewish religious law (halakha) and Jewish theology.[2][3][4][5]
Until the advent of modernity, in nearly all Jewish communities, the Talmud was the centerpiece of Jewish cultural life and was foundational to "all Jewish thought and aspirations", serving also as "the guide for the daily life" of Jews.[6]
The Talmud includes the teachings and opinions of thousands of rabbis on a variety of subjects, including halakha, Jewish ethics, philosophy, customs, history, and folklore, and many other topics.
The Talmud is a commentary on the Mishnah.[a][7] This text is made up of 63 tractates, each covering one subject area. The language of the Talmud is Jewish Babylonian Aramaic. Talmudic tradition emerged and was compiled between the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE and the Arab conquest in the early seventh century.[8] Traditionally, it is thought that the Talmud itself was compiled by Rav Ashi and Ravina II around 500 CE, although it is more likely that this happened in the middle of the sixth century.[9]
The word Talmud commonly refers to the Babylonian Talmud (Talmud Bavli) and not the earlier Jerusalem Talmud (Talmud Yerushalmi).[10] The Babylonian Talmud is the more extensive of the two and is considered the more important.

If it seems so then wouldn't this be better placed in ? :P
I'd argue it's worth arguing tho.
What is the Talmud? Meaning: “teaching” Summary: a collection of rabbinic Jewish texts that records the oral tradition of the ancient rabbis
But yes we do recognixe the old testament. The talmud tho? Also you're fine bro. We have these weird religious conversations at times, i'm not accusing you of behaving in a jew manner. I miss the weird conversations I had with boobs. That motherfucker legit read most things he argued about. Also... the talmud? Really?
Yeah, the Torah was written by the Almighty, but the talmud was written by men. I read and try to live by the Torah, but I have come across quotes of some very interesting history recorded in the talmud. I think we’ve all probably come across some of the nasty stuff quoted from some of the books of the talmud and for that reason I don’t feel motivated to sift through it to see what else there might be.
I do hope boobs is RIPing in peace.
That's cool.
