We lost a lot when we stopped wearing hats as part of our daily wardrobe.
Couldn’t agree more. I have yet to achieve the levels of assurance and insouciance necessary to progress to a full homburg or bowler but I simply refuse to appear in public these days without some form of appropriate head covering.
I got a nice tweed flatcap. That does me fine, especially in the "Is it raining or just 145% humid" spring.
Quite so, I favour a Failsworth Preston for the countryside, but these days I feel the need for something in leather for the urban environment.
