Gospel of Thomas has always fascinated me. It's lumped in with other Gnostic texts, and an argument can be made either way about it, but when folks seek the document that Matthew Mark and Luke drew from, the gospel of Thomas would seem to fit the bill, if we can ever prove it predates said texts (50-60 AD depending whom you ask). It would be truly amazing if this story was true given that later additions to a few of the gospels are taken as canon even if they weren't in the first manuscripts, like the woman being stoned for adultery
